French Supper Loaf

This is a great recipe that kids and adults both will like. It's a good one to make for times when you will be having company or the kids have friends over. Very good!

Ingredients:

  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
  • 1/2 cup cracker crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash pepper
  • 2 cups grated cheese
  • onion
  • 1 loaf French bread

Directions:

Cur bread in half lengthwise. Mix the rest of ingredients together. Spread mixture on each half of bread. Wrap in foil, leaving meat mixture uncovered. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Slice into 3 inch pieces for serving.

Servings: 12
Prep Time: 15-20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 25 Minutes

The meat is cooked and I use the reg. size evaporated milk. (Don't know the oz. off the top of my head, but in our stores, it is not a tiny can, but not a big one either. Just the regular size. Hope this answers both of your questions. :)
