Father's Day Card

Heart shaped shirt and tie Father's Day card.Show Dad how much you appreciate him with a handmade card that is sure to make him smile. This gorgeous heart-shaped card uses cardstock, decorative paper, buttons and a faux stitch technique.

Approximate Time 30-45 minutes.

Supplies:

  • 8 1/2 x 11 inch blue cardstocks
  • stripe patterned paper
  • 2 buttons
  • white gel pen
  • needle
  • double-sided tape
  • scissors
  • pencil

Instructions:

  1. Fold the blue cardstock into half.
  2. Place the heart pattern to the center of the folded card. Use the pencil to draw around the shape. Cut out.
  3. Make tracings of tie from stripe patterned paper, and the collar and pocket from blue cardstock. Cut them out.
  4. Pierce holes around collar and pocket. Use white gel pen to draw stitches.
  5. Adhere tie to card.
  6. Next, adhere the collar and pocket.
  7. Attach buttons.
