I needed a cute centerpiece for my dining room table to last me through the summer. I was looking for something with the red, white, and blue theme so I could leave it out from May to September! I went to the dollar store and bought this cute pot, two bouquets of flowers, some foam, the place, mat and the two candles. For $6, I have a cute centerpiece to use for years to come!

We had this arrangement of flowers and flags on the BBQ table for Memorial Day, and now we will use it for 4th of July.
I change the centerpiece decorations for fall and Christmas. In the spring, I use pastel colors. The container has many small glass vases in two layers. It can also be used for fruit, dip, or fresh flowers. The container was a gift from a dear friend, Andrea.

A nice, thrifty 4th of July holiday decoration is to gather a bouquet of the flower called "Queen Ann's Lace" (it is white and grows wild along highways and in fields). Add a few drops of red food coloring in a vase and a few drops of blue food coloring in another vase. Put some flowers in each vase. In a few hours the flowers absorb the coloring and you will have some red flowers and some blue flowers and some white flowers to make a beautiful red, white, and blue bouquet.
