I know schools pay a large sum of money for access to The Accelerated Reader Program. Do you think kids will have access to that program at home? My son is not returning to school until May and has asked about his AR test.

I am a teacher, and I suggest you contact your child's teacher or the school administration. They are the only ones who can answer that question for your child's school. Each school district/school is different, and the distance learning situation in one may not be the same as in another.
I agree with "ask the teacher" comment as a first step, but be prepared to seek out other parents with this common interest so collectively you can make a demand to the school board and other gate-keepers.
There should still be people at your son's school that can answer your question as I'm sure you are not the only one needing an answer to this question.
