Can you adjust the position of the needle on a Kenmore 385 17627 sewing machine? It is currently in the center position and I would like to know if I can move it to the right or left to do some topstitching.

On your sewing machine, it is possible to adjust the needle position to regulate the needle if it is not the same for the straight stitch and the zig-zag stitch. Normally this is an adjustment with the screw to align the needle in the correct position. On this type of machine, the needle position does not really move or can be adjusted.
