Breeder Responsibility for Puppy With Parvo?

I bought my puppy Sunday evening. I noticed she had slight diarrhea Monday morning so I bought wormer and wormed her. I thought this would clear it up so I waited 24hrs. On Tuesday night I noticed blood in her poo so I took her to the vet's Wednesday morning where she has been diagnosed with parvo virus and is in hospital now on the drip. Hopefully she will pull through, but it's going to cost a minimum of £250. The breeder is not intersted when I asked for help paying the bill. What if anything can I do? I paid £500 for the dog.

You are using pounds here, I see. Your laws in the UK are different than our "dog lemon laws" in the US.

It looks like dogs are covered under the Sale of Goods Act and you have recourse through small claims court.
