Cannellini Bean Sauté on dinner plateSo easy, fast, delicious, and very inexpensive, too. A nice change of pace when you are tired of potatoes, rice and pasta. It's ready in a matter of minutes.

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (15 oz) cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
  • 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup yellow onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 4 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Dry white wine (I used chicken broth)
  • Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  1. Heat the oil in a skillet.
  2. Add the onion and garlic and cook until soft and fragrant, around 2 minutes.
  3. sautéing onion and garlic
     
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients except the Parmesan cheese. Cook until softened and heated through, and until the liquid is reduced, about 3 minutes.
  5. Adding drained beans to skillet

  6. Serve warm with some Parmesan cheese on top.
