Carefully Inspect New Appliances

I recommend to carefully inspect your new appliances upon delivery with the delivery person. Make any notations with the delivery person and have it noted on your documents prior to signing the form. Purchasing a new appliance is very expensive and we would not want to receive a damaged, scratched, or dented appliance unless you are purchasing an as-is product and are aware of some defects.

When we received our new stainless steel refrigerator, we noticed some scratches on the side. We pointed it out to the delivery man and he noted it on our invoice to speak back to the company. The company reassured our refrigerator is brand new but we can get 10% back or, they can delivery a new fridge.

We do the same. Our microwave came with an small dent right in the front. We were offered a 10% discount, which we refused and got a different one. We had carpeting installed in our daughter's room.

We saw a black spot behind her door. They came back to clean it, saw it was permanent, and took 50% off. No one ever noticed the spot.

It is very important to check before signing! Once signed it is official and a done deal.

With the fridge it was a minor scratch and is not noticeable. But with a bedroom set, we asked for a new one and they took it back and gave us a new set.

That is a good offer 50% off for the carpet issue!
