Cat Licking Himself Raw From Flea Allergy?

I haven't moved, I haven't changed any of the 3 cats' diets. I live on Long Island. My vet said they are allergic to the flea's saliva. He gave me pills, but it didn't help. My one cat is licking himself raw. Is there a home remedy I can use to put on them?

You have to use flea powder to kill the fleas in the carpet, and also clean the bedding and other places where fleas live. They're just jumping back on her. Then use the Frontline or other liquid that you put a little bit behind their ears.
