How do I clean an old Singer sewing machine and oil it? It has been stored in a garage. Thank you.
Take off the parts on the outside so you can see the inner workings of the machine. Turn the wheel so you can see the parts move. Put a drop of oil where you see gears or metal touching metal and a part is moving. Then turn the machine over. Unscrew the bottom and do the same thing.
You do not say how "old" and some would say a 6 or 7 year old could be called "old". Are you asking about a vintage Singer perhaps?
