Cooking a whole chicken in the instant pot is a great time saver. Set it and forget it. Then you'll have an instant meal. Cooking a whole chicken is very versatile; you can use it to make sandwiches, tacos, salads, etc.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 55 minutes + 15 minutes natural release
Total Time: 1 hr, 15 minutes
Yield: Whole chicken
- whole chicken
- 1.5 tsp black pepper
- 1.5 tsp sea salt
- 1.5 tsp garlic powder
- 1.5 tsp onion powder
- 2 cups water
- 2 bay leaves
- Thaw whole chicken just until can remove the packaging. Add instant pot's trive. Pour 2 cups of water and add bay leaves. Add whole chicken in.
- Season with black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Set Instant pot at 55 minutes on high pressure with natural release. Ready to eat!
