Whole uncooked Chicken in the Instant PotCooking a whole chicken in the instant pot is a great time saver. Set it and forget it. Then you'll have an instant meal. Cooking a whole chicken is very versatile; you can use it to make sandwiches, tacos, salads, etc.

Cook Time: 55 minutes + 15 minutes natural release

Total Time: 1 hr, 15 minutes

Yield: Whole chicken

Ingredients:

  • whole chicken
  • 1.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1.5 tsp sea salt
  • 1.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 1.5 tsp onion powder
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 bay leaves

Steps:

  1. Thaw whole chicken just until can remove the packaging. Add instant pot's trive. Pour 2 cups of water and add bay leaves. Add whole chicken in.

  3. Season with black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Set Instant pot at 55 minutes on high pressure with natural release. Ready to eat!
