I would like to cover my bird houses with wild bird seed. Any suggestions on what to use to make it stick?

Peanut butter. Any kind except "natural" (too dry). Mix the seed along with a little grits or coarse cornmeal and it will stick just fine.
I believe it's egg yolk, both to make it stick and to seal it afterwards. Try it on a scrap piece of wood first. Honey would remain sticky and draw flys, so I believe it's egg yolk. Hope I'm correct. Good luck and God bless you. ? )
Try suet.
Perfumed fan again. I assumed you wanted to turn your bird houses into feeders. If you want to decorate your houses with seeds this, of course, is not permanent.
