Peanut butter. Any kind except "natural" (too dry). Mix the seed along with a little grits or coarse cornmeal and it will stick just fine.

I believe it's egg yolk, both to make it stick and to seal it afterwards. Try it on a scrap piece of wood first. Honey would remain sticky and draw flys, so I believe it's egg yolk. Hope I'm correct. Good luck and God bless you. ? )

Perfumed fan again. I assumed you wanted to turn your bird houses into feeders. If you want to decorate your houses with seeds this, of course, is not permanent.

I've seen bird houses decorated with seeds. They are covered with something clear and thick and shiny but I don't know what it is.

You can use peanut butter, but I think this is a bad idea. The birdhouses will be all gooey and would not be very inviting to birds.

I would try to keep birdhouses and bird feeders as separate entities.

I was told to use gelatin. I want to make this and will try the gelatin.
