I keep a cheap pair of swimming goggles in the kitchen and wear them when chopping onions. No more tears!

Well I am here to say, after reading a post today where someone wanted to know what worked, is that the goggles worked great for me. Not one tear and usually I can soak up a couple of tissues.

I have found that it helps me when I am cutting onions to wear swimming goggles. I also have to keep my mouth closed. I am a great onion fan, but my eyes hate them, because they burn really bad. The goggles really help me. Either the small ones like eyeglasses or the huge ones help keep me from tearing up when I slice onions which is almost daily.
