Determining the Value of Old Encyclopedias?

I am wondering who to ask regarding the value of old books. I am a grandmother and I am sorting through books I have kept from my grandparents. I love books, but just don't have room for all of them. We have 12 volumes of the New Standard Encyclopedia from 1906. The leather bindings are deteriorating, but the pages inside each book are in very good condition. Does anyone still collect old books?

If you look up the value at online book dealers, they are valued at less than $1 each with shipping of $2.95 per book. Encyclopedias have gone the way of hoop skirts and horse buggies. They are obsolete. Sorry.
