Easy Canapes

These canapés are easy, economical, and quick, as well as tasty. Great for parties. Enjoy!

Total Time: 30 mins to 1 hour

Yield: 3 per slice of bread

Let your imagination run riot!

  1. Lightly roll out slices of bread to flatten a little.
  2. Using a smallish cutter - to fit the small cake tin - cut rounds.
  3. Place in a small cake tin - using the pestle part of a pestle and mortar to push them into shape comes in handy!
  4. Bake on gas mark 4 (or equivalent- 350 degrees F or 180 degrees C), for 15 minutes, until golden.
  5. Once cooled, fill with cream cheese, pate, egg mayo, creamed mushrooms, whatever you fancy!

I am definitely going to make these, probably with blueberries in them one way or the other. What a delicious recipe this is. I can't wait to try it!

Flattened bread slices cut to fit muffin tins - what a great idea! I recently tried using canned biscuits in a similar way without success. I think the bread will work.
