Edible Olympic Medals

When my brother and I were little, we loved watching the Olympics together. We were such fans, we'd also play Olympic Summer and Winter Games on our first computer, the Commodore 64. We'd emulate our versions of the opening and closing ceremonies and put on a show for our parents. Of course, we made Olympic medals, too. Here's a tutorial on how to make gold and silver medals that you can unwrap for a sweet treat!

Supplies:

Steps:

  1. Colour the reinforcement labels in blue, yellow, black, green, and red.
  2. Stick the coloured rings onto the chocolate gold coin, slightly overlapping each other.
  3. Cut off enough ribbon to go around your neck, where you want the medal to hang. Take the ends and tape them on top of each other on the back of the gold coin.
  4. To make a silver medal, wrap a gold coin with aluminum foil and press on tight to secure. Use a tiny dab of glue to seal shut if it won't stay on its own.
  5. Add the coloured labels and ribbon the same way.
