Ants in your home can be effectively killed without any harmful effects to pets or barefoot small children. Prepare a spray bottle with one part water and one part liquid soap (dish washing soap, Mr.Clean, Fabuloso cleaners, etc.) Spray and ants will die on contact. Safe for humans and pets. Ants breathe through their joints. Their outer ecoskeleton is hard. When you spray the soap solution, they suffocate and die. Soap solution also destroys their scent, thus future ants won't use the same trail. Caulk any outside cracks, openings, etc., on the outside surfaces of your home. This really works.
