A fire ant biting a person on the hand.If you are ever stung by a fire ant, use vinegar to stop the itch..

Being new to Florida I have found this really works.

I've always used Hydrogen Peroxide to treat fire ant stings. It immediately takes the sting out and helps the white looking sore heal up very fast. My husband, being from the country, taught me this when we got married. I didn't think it would work until I tried it and it really does work.

Fire ants have a nasty painful bite that can be mitigated slightly by rubbing a banana peel on the bite as soon as possible. Use banana peel as a fire ant remedy if you have been bitten by fire ants.
