Fairy Food Candy

This is a great candy for Christmas!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. baking soda
  • Advertisement

  • 1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (6oz.), melted

Directions:

  1. Mix sugar, syrup, and vinegar in a 3 qt. saucepan.
  2. Cook to the hard crack stage (300 degrees F).
  3. Turn off flame and add the baking soda and mix quickly and vigorously.
  4. Pour immediately into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
  5. Cool, then invert on a tray and spread with melted chocolate.
  6. Break into chunks.

Servings: 1 pound
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: varies - use candy thermometer and watch closely!
