Feather Basket

I have parrots. When I find dropped feathers and feathers from wild birds outdoors I wash them in Dawn, dry them, and pop them into the weave of a wicker basket hanging off my kitchen cabinet.

They have made a stunning display. The feathers are free, the basket I purchased many a year ago, and if I want to, eventually I can glue them in and give them a quick, light spray with clear acrylic and voilá, I have a beautiful and one of a kind creation. You can do it, too!

Total Time: 1 Hour

Yield: 1

Supplies:

Steps:

  1. Collect, wash, and dry feathers.
  2. Poke into woven basket. A beautiful feather basket in the making.
