Finding Free or Inexpensive House Demolition?

Is there anyone who will demolish and remove a burned out house free, cheap, or on a payment plan? I am in the Bluffton, Ohio area.

This will be a big based according to the size of the house that burned, degree the house was burned, where it is located as to where the debris/waste will have to be hauled.

  • If you are a senior, disabled, have small children, have low income, or receiving government assistance, you may be able to ask for help from HUD or another government agency.
  • The cost of doing this type of cleanup will be very high as there will days of work (manpower), permits, machinery, hauling trucks, cost of "dumping" the debris (costly per truck load), Porta Potty rentals, and on and on.

  • You should be able to get on Google house fire clean up and your zip code and ask for estimates and also ask for monthly payment arrangements.
  • Most people will have insurance to help with this cost but that may not be your case.
  • You may be able to talk with your local fire department and see if they have any suggestions.
  • According to the size of your city, there may be a social services agency that may also have some suggestions.
  • I feel pretty sure you will not find free help with this but keep contacting different organizations and someone may be able to do this work on a payment plan.
  • I do not believe Habitat for Humanity does this type of thing but you should contact them just in case as they might help you find a "willing" company. Of course, you will have to meet their "qualifications" for help from most any government agency as well as Habitat.
