These beautiful pink wading birds are a delight to see. In the wild they are seen in million plus groups on some African lakes. They are distributed though the Americas including the Caribbean, and in parts of Africa, Asia, and Europe. The distinctive pink plumage is the result of the foods that they gather from the muddy bottoms of lakes and shorelines.
