Removing seed warts

Step 1
Put a piece of duct tape on the wart.

Step 2
After a few days remove the tape. Scrape off dead skin and clean the wart. Apply a fresh piece of tape and repeat the process until the wart is gone.

Web MD has the best advice--leave it alone and it may just go away on its own.

The over the counter treatments work--like compound W, but I find them quite painful.

The last one I had was so deep it needed to be removed by a doctor. I hope you do not have one like that. It was very painful.

I can say from seeing someone do this - putting just duck tape only over a wart can be very painful to remove - so IF you try this - just duck tape - leave it alone for 5 or 6 days or until it falls off by itself. Clean up the area and reapply but many say this takes 'forever' or at least many applications.

Some recommend that you place one of the wart remover compounds sold in most stores on the wart and then cover with duck tape or other types of cover. This is supposed to be a faster method. Stores also have several other type of treatment - even a 'freezing' compounds as well as patches.

You should be very careful when using any type of treatment and keep a close watch to make sure you do not get it infected and do not use any type of tape more than once and wash hands thoroughly after each treatment.

Your wart is in an awkward place so you may have to try more than one treatment to safely keep the wart from spreading.
Keep watch as these do sometimes return.

Do some reading and then decide on your course of action.

If you have medical insurance, I would seek medical attention. That way the doctor can examine your mole and help remove it. :)
