Green Lentil Dip
Pureed, seasoned green lentils make a delicious, healthy dip. Serve with your favorite chips or crackers.

Lentils are very healthy for you. They are packed with fiber, protein, and a good source of iron. One of my favorite ways of preparing lentil is this dip for snacking with crackers or chips!
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 25-30 minutes
Total Time: 30-35 minutes
Yield: 4 servings
- 1 cup green lentils
- 1 small onion
- 1 cup cilantro
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 juice of lime
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 4 cups water
- dash of salt & pepper (optional)
- In a sauce pan, add chopped onions, green lentils and ground cumin.
- Add water and bring to a boil. Once boiled, reduce heat to medium low and simmer for about 25-30 minutes.
- Drain water out.
- In a blender, add lentil mixture, cilantro, olive oil, juice of 1 lime and blend. Option: Add dash of salt & pepper if needed.
