Green Lentil Dip

Lentils are very healthy for you. They are packed with fiber, protein, and a good source of iron. One of my favorite ways of preparing lentil is this dip for snacking with crackers or chips!

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 25-30 minutes

Total Time: 30-35 minutes

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. In a sauce pan, add chopped onions, green lentils and ground cumin.
  2. Add water and bring to a boil. Once boiled, reduce heat to medium low and simmer for about 25-30 minutes.
  3. Drain water out.
  4. In a blender, add lentil mixture, cilantro, olive oil, juice of 1 lime and blend. Option: Add dash of salt & pepper if needed.
