Health Concerns About 9 Week Old Puppy?

October 3, 2022

So my family gets dogs from the same breeder. Currently we have 6 dogs and love them to death, but before we had 6 dogs, we had just 2. We had gotten a puppy from them but the breeder said the momma tried to kill that litter. We just thought the mother was mean. We named him Ozzie. Well not even a day later, he has passed away while everyone was sleeping. We noticed he wouldn't drink water and wouldn't eat hard dog food. He was 7 weeks old so we switched to canned dog food. Well he wasn't very energetic which was weird because most puppies are.

After he passed, we got 3 other dogs, Ellie is from the same litter Ozzie is. We felt pity for her and wanted her to have someone to love her because we had a feeling she would pass away too. Well we have had these puppies for about 2-3 weeks now. When we got Ellie, she was so skinny, you could see her tail bones. We gave her chicken broth mixed in with some water and canned dog food because she wouldn't drink the water. Recently, she was fine, up playing around, gained weight, drinking water, eating hard dog food. But today we noticed she went back to being very lazy and unenergetic. She has been throwing up a lot and lost so much weight, she also stopped drinking water. She barely uses the bathroom. But she used it a couple of hours ago and we noticed there was a lot of blood in her stool, we also noticed everything she eats and drinks she throws up, she has excessive thirst but throws it right up. We can't take her to the vet because we are outta town and there aren't any vet hospitals around us. What could it be? Is it Fading Puppy Syndrome?

Please, please don't waste time and contact your veterinarian.
We recently lost a young cat because we went to the vet too late. In the evening she came home unenergetic, we did not immediately pay attention to this, and at night her condition deteriorated sharply, it was poisoning, she died.

I still feel guilty and reproach myself. Believe me, it is better to immediately consult a veterinarian.

It could be parvo. The only way to know is to see a vet.

I know your vet bill will be very high as Parvo treatments are always expensive, but hopefully, you will have a healthy pup to take home.
Please read about how to clean a home/yard when a pup has had Parvo so hopefully, no other pup will get sick.

You should get a refund for the pups and medical expenses. You should be getting a healthy dog. Contact the seller.
