  3. ,li> Bake at 350 degrees F for about 15 minutes.

  4. Remove and cool for softer biscuits or turn oven off and leave biscuits in overnight for harder ones.

Tip: moisten fingers with water if dough is too sticky.

Is there something instead of mint extract you could use in these? I'm not even sure where to BUY mint extract.

You can use grease drippings, gravy, or applesauce, it won't have the same breath freshers in it but dog will still love em. The honey will make them a nice golden brown color and if you don't have honey use brown sugar.

I also make these and use 2/3 cup peanut butter but sometimes I have to add more water.

Thanks for sharing the recipe! I have 4 dogs and I know they will love these!

To SMCARNEY: Mint extract can be found at the grocery store in the spice isle or baking isle, probably by the vanilla extract. You would be surprised how many extracts they have! Coconut, peppermint, lemon, hazelnut, banana, cherry... One of my dogs loves bananas. I could use the banana extract instead of the mint. Get creative! Your dogs will thank you =)

It's pretty commonly available at grocery stores. It should be right next to the vanilla extract.

I'm sure you could leave it out and the dogs wouldn't mind a bit.
