House Cleaning Fee?

What should I charge, for a three bedroom, two bathroom home? He only wants it one time and this is what I'm to clean; deep clean 1 bathroom, baseboards, window seals, deep clean laundry room, deep clean kitchen and mop.

It's hard to say. It varies depending on where you live. My daughter pays $90 for a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in NY.

Charge by the hour. The man could be a hoarder or have an infestation. Maybe not, but to avoid having to do hours of extra work for no extra pay, use an hourly rate that is competitive with prices in your area.

I live in California where everything is over-priced so I probably won't be much help as far as what to charge, certainly do not charge by the hour you will never make any money, but then again I'm not sure where you live or how fast or slow you work. If you want to take your time, then charge by the hour.

Here are some things to consider - travel time and what that will cost you. Who is providing the cleaning supplies? How much will that cost you. You probably want to provide cleaning supplies or see if the supplies you will have are sufficient and to your liking. You can spend a lot of time cleaning with cheap supplies (good if you are charging by the hour)
EXAMPLE he says DEEP CLEAN - that means it's probably really dirty and do yourself a favor and make sure you have some TILEX or something good for cleaning bathrooms, etc. and bring GLOVES.

Hope this helps you have a better experience, cleaning some else's house sounds easy, but when someone says deep clean, it's probably really gross. Don't forget the gloves. LOL Have fun

Maid services show the overall average as $30 per hour or $100 average for average sized house(?) but that really means nothing because charges have to be based on where the cleaning takes place.

Your situation seems entirely different as there is no average for what you are contemplating. Have you seen the condition or size of the areas you are being asked to clean? This may be a really dirty, time consuming job or not?

You may want to see the premises "first hand" and then decide if you will charge for the job or if you want to go with an hourly rate. Either way, you need to put your zip code in Google and ask for cleaning rates. This should give you some idea as to what to charge. If it is a dirty job, ask for more.

You need to first look at the place and see how dirty it is. What is the going rate in your area? How many hours will it take you? Your supplies or his??

What do you want to earn per hour after expenses? I would do it by the hour, in my area, for average cleaning job it would be $15 per hour.
