How do know if your dog has a ear infection or if it's something more like ear mites? What is the best way to treat this?

If your dog is constantly scratching and seems uncomfortable it is time to call the vet.

Dogs who are rubbing their face/ears on things... carpet, wall corners etc. May have an infection or mites. Either way it needs a vet check or call. Red and warm ear insides are a symptom of an infection or fungus as is brown goop in the ears and a lot of head shaking.
