Identifying Flying Bugs?

Ok so I,m playing on the Nintendo switch, I have a big book open and as I'm flipping page to page, I see something fly or just fall and it landed on the book (not surprising lol). I thought maybe termites, but it didn't look like anything I found.

It's small but bigger than a flea by inch or two, brown colored (I do not know what shade of brown) and had lines on its back (shell like thing). I would take a picture. but I crushed it so whoops.

It doesn't sound like a termite. Next time you see a bug, put it in a sealed plastic bag and don't crush it. Take it to a place that sells pesticides. They will identify it and sell you the right pesticide.

Could be a carpet beetle...Does it match this one:

If so, they eat fibers like carpet, towels and such. A good vacuuming and cleaning should get rid of them.
