Identifying a Houseplant?

Identifying a Houseplant - draping houseplantMy boyfriend bought this beautiful hanging plant for our new place, but can't remember how much or how often the lady said to water it and how much sunlight it needs. She didn't say what is was. She did say it would grow down to the floor eventually and some of the leaves have a purple tint to the underside. Thanks!

It looks like a type of ivy. It likes bright light and even watering.

Congrats on your new place! How exciting!! These are beautiful. I call these wandering jews plants. They may be in the ivy family...I never researched it. They like moist but not sopping soil. They need direct light for a good bit of the day.

Two things to be aware of is they get very dusty (misting helps keep that down)...especially in the winter...or else the dry cold and dust make the leaves curl up. They also drop leaves like crazy. I used to have to vacuum under it daily.

What a beautiful plant - looks like your boyfriend has an eye for beauty. I've always thought that plants make a home seem more friendly.
