The leaves are a little hard to make out, so from what I can see it looks like my begonias. See this link to see if you see the resemblance.www.google.com/search?q=houseplant+with+fucia+curly...:

Mine are very prolific and strong growers and very easy to root to make new plants!

It does look like your plant could use a little help. Maybe repotting - soften the soil (after through blooming) and trimming would bring new life.

  • I believe your plant is a Begonia and may be in the Rex Begonia family.
  • There are so many Begonias that sometimes you may have to look at the bloom/flower and plant to determine which plant it might be.
  • I cannot tell from the photo if the leaves and/or stems are glossy or furry and that would help.
  • Even the soil, light, fertilizer, humidity can change the color of the leaves (as well as the light from the camera) so you may be a better judge of the true color and find it in some of the photographs.
  • Check some of these photos but you will see how many "look a likes" there are.
  • "Begonias need humidity. Lack of humidity will cause problems. Placing a large saucer filled w/stones/pebbles and a little water, 'not hitting bottom of pot,' increases humidity, somewhat.

  • When you water, drench the rootball, until water seeps out of drainage hole.
  • Begonias do not like wet feet, so before adding more water, allow soil to dry a bit in-between."
  • Most Begonias take about the same care so check some of the suggestions from these sites so you can get yours back to a nice bushy plant.
