Hello - I found this gnome yesterday at a thrift store. I am having a difficult time finding any info on him. He is the gnome from the front of the Gnomes book. He is signed and in fantastic condition and signed. He is about 10 inches tall.
My questions are
-Is this an original or replica?
-Based on your reply - what would you say he is worth?

Rien Poortvliet (1932-1995) a Dutch draftsman and artist, was the illustrator of "Gnomes" by Wil Huygen (1923-2009.) Klaus Wickl, a long-time friend, brought Rien's drawings to life in beautiful 3-dimensional figures.
This Rien Poortvliet VTG 1988 PAPA GNOME 10" Figurine @ ebay is priced @ $99.85 for a starting bid. The signature appears to be different than the one you have though.
It seems to be genuine. This similar one is asking $39.99 on eBay. www.ebay.com/
