Ink In Dryer

An ink pen exploded in the dryer. I cannot remove the ink stains from the dryer.

With lots of good ventilation, very carefully and quickly use small amounts of nail polish remover on paper towels, placing each used one in a zip lock baggie as soon as you finish to contain the odor.

Wipe carefully and using a whole role of paper towels, whole bottle of remover, if necessary, until there is no evidence of the ink anywhere, unless it is "permanent" ink. That may not come out completely, but may only stain the wall of the dryer, not bleed into the clothing IF you remove all the residue that is possible to remove.

Try heating the empty dryer to med. before trying to remove permanent ink and do NOT breath it at all, even if it takes a half a day to complete the job and you have to walk to the window every five minutes for five minute of fresher air.

Nothing will work better, that I know of. God bless and help you. : ) (08/23/2009)

P.S. Wear vinyl gloves because the Acetone in the nail polish can dry your skin way out. Be careful not to splash any on your skin or get into eyes, either, read the instruction well. (08/23/2009)
