Intermittent Warning Lights on Fiat for Light Bulbs?

I have a Fiat Stilo Estate and every so often my car says check side light. So I checked the bulb and all is OK and then the light goes off. Then a day later it comes back on again, then 20 minutes later it goes off and three days later the light came back on saying check brake light. When I checked the brake light it was not working, but the bulb is OK and 10 minutes later the light went out and then comes on and goes off. What could this be?

Cars run on computers now. You could have a computer error causing the signal. You could also have a short. You may have to take it to a mechanic, because the cars today require very sophisticated equipment to diagnose problems.
