Introducing a New Kitten to Your Resident Cat?

Introducing a New Kitten to Your Resident CatMy 1 year old cat was introduced to a 9 week old kitten. The cat isn't acting like she feels good. Is this common? Is she just exhausted from watching the kitten?

It is a big change in her life. She hasnt expressed hostility towards the kitten, which is good. Give her time to adjust.

Wow they are in the same room and touching each other. Thats pretty good. I would say these kittens will be friends. I would guess your older cat is just adjusting to the new kitten. But keep an eye on her and get her checked with a Vet if her behavior continues beyond a week or so, or if new symptoms appear.

Dont forget to take your new baby in for shots and worming.
