Only your vet can tell you. I say that with all honesty and concern because there are lumps in dogs that are nothing but fatty cysts and there are some that are cancer--and to a non vet they look alike. We have had experience with both and truly only a vet can tell after a needle biopsy. Please have it checked ASAP! Not all non-cancerous lumps have to be removed (although some may if they are painful or causing other issues). You will have to work with your vet to determine if cancerous ones should be removed or if there are other treatment options.

It may be difficult financially to take your dog to the vet, especially if they have to do a biopsy, but sometimes we have to try and find a way to get it done.

It's entirely possible that it is just a cyst that will go away by itself but how can we know?
Some answers you will need for the vet is when did the lump appear? How long has it been?
Did the dog do anything about that time that could have caused an injury?
Does it seem to bother the dog?
Has any of her habits changed? eating? bathroom?

Hopefully all will work out okay and it will only be a 'temporary' problem.

Please contact a vet because without an expertise or test results, it's difficult to tell. Most lumps are fatty tumors and are benign - not cancerous. But fewer than half of lumps and bumps are malignant, or cancerous. And they can look the same from the outside.

Tell a vet if the lump appeared suddenly; whether its shape, color, or size has changed; whether the dogs behavior is different (their appetite or energy level is different).

Any changes in a dogs skin should be checked out by a vet.

Please have this checked out by you Vet. This could be all or nothing. The answers come when this issue is checked.
