Make Drawer Handles into Mini Frames

Make Drawer Handles into Mini FramesGluing together the back sides of each drawer pull, you get a mini rounded/rectangular frame shape. This is what you can make out of them. I got the wrong size and simply made something else with them.

Total Time: With E-6000 about 12 hours

Yield: 10

Supplies:

Steps:

  1. Glue the backsides together with E-6000 glue and leave overnight.

  3. Pick your fabrics and rip about 1 yard for each frame. They are 2.75" by 3.5" for the smaller and 4.5" by 3.0" for the larger.

  5. Put a spot of hot glue on the edge of the frame at an angle. This is important as you will be wrapping like a spiral.

  7. Wrap around, spot gluing on the corner if you can't keep it taut. If you can, there is no need.

  9. When you have 1 or as many as you want done, embellish them or leave plain.

  11. When you determine if and where you want them to join, find the backs and arrange them like you want. If two frames are not going to be top to bottom, but perhaps just half way up, just glue the part of the other frame where it's going to attach. As you can see by the finished product, not all sides have to touch. As long as 2 do, you are golden.

  13. If you want to put photos in them, I suggest you do it this way. With some scrap plastic like a sheet protector, make the frame and the photo the same size. Cutting them together helps.
  14. Spot glue the plastic to the frame, then the photo to the plastic. Make very sure it's straight and right side up. When it is, make a piece of cardboard like a cereal box just a bit larger and glue all the way around the cardboard, sealing it in to protect the photo. If the photo is a copy, then spot gluing on the corners would be fine.
  15. If you are proficient with a glue gun, this works well. If not, take the time to use tacky glue and weight it down.
