Making Animal Plant Pal Stakes

Here is another shopping inspiration you could recreate for less. Urban Outfitters sell Plant Pal animal plant stakes for $10, on sale for $2.99, but factor in the shipping at $4.95, that'll be $8 and some change for something that you could make at home for free!

Supply alternatives:
- I used brown paper bag scraps from another project as the "stake". You could use skewer, craft sticks, or a tree stick.
- I got the animals from the cereal box. You could find animals in a magazine, print it out, stickers, or even draw your own!

This is such a simple project, but the kids love it! When the kids water the plants they always have something sweet to tell their animal friends.

Total Time: 10 minutes

Supplies:

Steps:

  1. I gathered a bunch of paper bag cuttings and twisted them to secure in place and applied tape. (This resembles the "stake")
  2. Cut out the animals from the back of the cereal box.
  3. Tape to stake and it's ready to place in our plant!
