Coffee Filter Animal Candy Bags - two coffee filter candy bagsMy mum and I make these animal candy bags for the kids for Easter, but they can be made for any type of celebration. The kids like to make these, too. It's a very simple, all-ages, craft. You could fill them up with whatever you like! These are examples with both cone-style and regular coffee filters.

Supplies:

  • coffee filters
  • pencils, pens, or markers
  • candies
  • scissors
  • thread
  • ribbon

  2. Coffee Filter Animal Candy Bags - for cone filters draw face on one side

  4. Coffee Filter Animal Candy Bags - add candy

  5. Fold down the top with the opening twice, then pinch and fold the sides of the filter to make ears.
  6. Coffee Filter Animal Candy Bags - fold down the top and pinch and fold the corners for ears

  7. Tie the base of the ears with some thread.
  8. Coffee Filter Animal Candy Bags - tie thread around the base of the ears

  9. Then tie ribbon around the thread to cover it.
  10. Coffee Filter Animal Candy Bags - tie ribbon over the thread and make bows

  11. When using regular coffee filters, lay one down flat.
  12. Coffee Filter Animal Candy Bags - fold a regular filter in half and lay flat

  13. Push the 2 sides inwards to make inverted folds, then press down flat. This will keep the candy inside secure.
  14. Coffee Filter Animal Candy Bags - push two sides in to make inverted folds to keep the candy inside

  15. Continue with the previous steps from the cone-shaped filter. Draw on a face, fill with candy, double-fold down the top, and tie its ears.
  16. Coffee Filter Animal Candy Bags - repeat the process used on the cone filters
