Photo clip banners are very popular and trendy for events like a bridal shower, baby shower, engagement, wedding, birthday, graduation, etc.

You can make cute flower accents from water bottles and hang from a string. Then using cute clothespins (clip photos), in example I attached are notecards. You can also decorate notecards too, but I used this as a photo clip banner.

Total Time: 25 minutes + drying time overnight

Supplies:

  • water bottles
  • X-Acto knife
  • scissors
  • ribbon
  • mini pin
  • paint + paintbrush

Steps:

  1. Using your X-Acto knife, cut your water bottle (at the first line crease) as shown below.

  3. Cut 5 slits spacing evenly around the water bottle.
  4. Peel each flap down to achieve a petal.
  5. Using scissors trim the edges of the petal to be curved and neater.
  6. With flower facing downwards, you can paint with your desired color(s). Allow to dry overnight.

  8. Once your flowers are dried, you can use ribbon to secure knots from one end of the water bottle spout flower to the other water bottle spout flower.
  9. Once your banner is hung, you can attach photos and use mini clothespins to keep the photos on the ribbon. (I used notecards as an example of photos), or you can decorate the notecards.
