This is a free and fun craft/experiment that my toddler son really enjoyed! He made an experiment out of this by seeing how many coins it takes for the submarine to sink (it was a trial and error experiment).

Supplies:
plastic egg
bowl and water
pipe cleaner
assorted coins
circle stickers
scissors
Sharpie
Steps:
Place the amount of coins inside the egg that your child thinks will be enough to sink the submarine.
Decorate your egg with circle dots and go around the dots with a Sharpie pen.
Cut a piece of pipe cleaner and bend for the periscope. Then hot glue to top of the egg.

You are ready to drop the submarine into a bowl of water. The experiment is to see how many coins it'll take for the submarine to sink.
