A nice little chilled side dish ;-)

Ingredients:

Directions:

Mix all ingredients well, except for the tomatoes, in a bowl.

Add tomatoes and gently stir to coat. Chill for 2 hours. Gently stir again before serving.

Ingredients:

  • tomatoes, sliced unpeeled
  • sweet onions, sliced
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. olive oil

Directions:

Place layer of tomatoes in 8x10 inch shallow serving bowl. Top with layer of onions. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, basil, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon vinegar and 1 teaspoon olive oil. Repeat layers, depending on number of servings. Refrigerate for several hours before serving to blend flavors.

Ingredients

  • 4 large, juice ripe tomatoes
  • Italian Salad Dressing
  • 1 jar (6 ounces) marinated artichoke hearts
  • Basil (to taste)
  • Bread or cracker crumbs
  • Ad

  • Parmesan cheese
  • Butter

Directions

Peel and slice tomatoes in half, early in the morning. Pour some Italian dressing over tomato halves in a pyrex dish . Refrigerate. About 1 hour before serving, slice artichoke hearts and place on tomato halves. Sprinkle with basil, crumbs and cheese. Place a dab of butter on top of each tomato half. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. Serves 8

This is a great combination of veggies and the sauce is out of this world good!

Ingredients:

  • 3 med. tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, cut in thin rings
  • 2 green onions and tops, thinly sliced
  • 6 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 3 Tbsp. tarragon vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/8 tsp. celery seed

Directions:

  1. Arrange tomato slices and green pepper rings in dish.
  2. Sprinkle green onions on top.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients in a jar.

    Blend thoroughly.
  4. Pour over vegetables. Cover tightly. Store in refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.

Combine ingredients in jar with a tight cover, then shake until thoroughly mixed. Add blue cheese just before pouring over tomatoes.
