I have a 3 yr old Husqvarna selfpropelled lawn mower. I try to pull the rope to start and it won't pull out at all. I can turn the blade by hand, but can't by rope. So what can cause this?

If the pull starter rope won't come out when pulling on it, that means it is blocked inside the pully. You'll need to remove the screws and try and look at the rope and how it is wound around the pully. If the rope is damaged it will need to be changed.
The reel the rope is attached to may have to be replaced
