Parvo Virus Recovery Time?

My puppy is suffering from parvo and now he is on his recovering period (almost a month), but he neither eats by himself nor drinks water himself. He doesn't respond to us. Whenever he walks, he goes to the corner of room and tries to stand straight, he does this with furniture too. I am worried about him. Please tell what should I do for him? When he will be back to his normal life?

This is a very strange behavior and not really normal for a dog that is recovering from parvo. I have had 2 dogs that had parvo and the first one recovered rather quickly where the second one was very sick and in a hospital or vet for almost 10 days. Normally after the dog has received the medication and is no longer vomiting he starts to recover slowly. Keep in mind each dog is different but normally the dog will start to want to eat and drink again after he is feeling better.

I fear that maybe there is something else wrong with your dog and you should get him back to the vet to have him checked out. It sounds very strange to me that he is not responding to you at all and also that he has to go next to a wall to try and stand up straight again. I think the vet should have another look at your dog to determine if the medication is working correctly or it has caused another issue with the dog.

I hope your puppy is well on his way to being his normal playful self so everyone can enjoy his company.
Parvo is a strange and deadly virus but not all dogs react in the same manner and a lot seems to depend on their age.

You do not say how old your puppy is nor do you actually say he was with the vet during his worse time with this virus but I feel sure you have contacted a vet about his present condition.

It is very important to keep his vet apprised of his condition at all times especially after a longer than normal recovery period.

Times have changed where veterinary visits are concerned and many times a vet will do an online 'visit' if there is something that maybe can be resolved without seeing the animal in 'person'.
This could actually be one of those times if his vet participates in this service.
I believe the fees are generally less costly than a regular office visit so ask your vet if they do this in case you need information in the future.

I would check with your Vet. Each puppy and dog recover different. This does seem a slow for his healing. He may be having a hard time with the medication and taking away his appetite and energy.

Although this virus does that to your puppy. en.wikipedia.org/.../canine_parvovirus
