In a double dish melt the chocolate chips. Stir so it won't burn till they melt.
In another dish put the 1/2 cup sugar and 1 cup water; stir and heat until the sugar melts. It makes the "simple syrup".
Beat the five eggs, add the melted chocolate chips, add the simple syrup, and the 1/2 cup oil.
Take a 9 inch round dish and cover with parchment paper. Put in some oil to cover the parchment paper and pour the batter into the dish.
Take another bigger baking dish and put water inside. Then take the 9 inch baking pan with the batter and put in like a bath for the cake.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and bake 30-45 minutes till the tooth pick comes out clean. The cake should be soft, but the tooth pick clean.
