She doesnt look that bad to me. If the vet thinks the dog is too thin there is a variety of food with extra calories.

She looks normal sized to me for a 3 month old dog. She doesnt look underweight. But the best opinion you could get would be from your Vet. Dont forget shots, especially parvo.

How cute!
I hope you are telling her how much you love her but she must be more careful as she could hurt herself...
It is generally said that if you can feel (prominently stands out) their ribs then they may be underweight but we generally see puppies that look pleasantly "plump" so I'm sure that is why you are concerned.

  • Puppies generally need food that is specially made for young puppies as it has a different ingredient list than older dog's food and it has an easier makeup that can be easily digested.

  • Your vet can check her for worms as this is a common problem with puppies and can "rob" some of the essential ingredients found in her food.
  • The most important thing your puppy needs is her first year shots/vaccinations and your vet can provide these as her age dictates. The most important is DHPP as that is her protection against the dreaded Parvo that is generally all around where dogs live and difficult to keep a puppy safe without these shots (all of these shots).
