Potato Hand Warmers

I read this in an old Dutch children's storybook to my kids years ago but find it's actually a very logical idea and have used it myself since!

Pierce either a white or sweet potato a few times and microwave (according to your microwaves voltage settings) until cooked. You can wrap in aluminum foil and give it to your kids (or even adults) to put in their pockets or their gloved hands to serve as handwarmers when outside in the winter for a while.

Great for ice skating, ice fishing and even walking around on Halloween. They can actually eat the potato as a snack after it's cooled down too!
