Pressure Cooker Chicken and Onions

A very versatile, easy and delicious recipe using the pressure cooker, that will not heat up your kitchen.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10-11 minutes

Total Time: 15-16 minutes

Yield: 4-5 servings

  1. Slice the onions.
  2. If using whole chicken legs, separate into drumsticks and thighs.
  3. Put water in the pressure cooker.
  4. Add the oil. Add a trivet.
  5. Put the chicken on the trivet. Cover with a layer of ketchup. Add the spices of your choice to taste. I used garlic powder and Italian seasoning this time. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the onions. Add some ketchup on top of the onions. I did this step in two layers, because all my chicken wouldn't fit on one layer.
  7. Pressure cook 10 minutes for drumsticks. My thighs were large, so I cooked 11 minutes.
