Our puppy is on day 5 with symptoms of parvo. He's been at the hospital since day 3. Yesterday they told us his X-rays came back normal. This morning they called to let us know he developed a fever of 104 overnight and his diarrhea had kicked back up in frequency although there was no more blood in the diarrhea.
Is this normal for him to get worse before it gets better? The vet told us if he is on the road to recovery we should see signs of improvement between days 5-7.
We are going to keep him at the hospital and are being optimistic. Just looking for prayers, answers?

Parvo is a serious illness. Your dog is at the vet, and is getting the best of care. Everyone hopes for a good outcome, but some dogs dont make it. I hope yours does

Sounds like he is mend.Your vet will not lie to you,he sounds like he is getting better.I will pray for your puppy it takes time to get over parvo.Good luck.
